Clay vessel dated 600 A.D. with evidence of wild rice

Description:
Large round ceramic cooking vessel. Exterior has impression of fingerwoven textile bag and decoration at shoulder, neck and lip. The temper is grit. 1400 B.P. Used to cook food in an open fire. There is a carbon deposit at the shoulder that has been dated 1400 +/-40 years BP (before present). Interior of vessel has carbon residue that contains evidence of wild rice.
