Portage Lake rice storage
If a muskrat made its home there, a lodge, the old lady set a trap. When she got a muskrat in the trap, she skinned it and washed it out carefully so it wasn't bloody. Before the skin dried up, she put green rice in it. When it was filled with a lot of rice, she sewed it shut and after she put it in, she hung it up in the wigwam. When that rice was put in hot water, it just swelled right up.
