The snowshoe frame was often made of ash which could be easily bent using heat. Pair of snowshoes with oblong bent natural wood frames nailed together at the tips. Two wood crosspieces fit into slots in the frames. The three sections of webbing are made by stretching & weaving leather and rawhide strips laced through frame holes. Tan cotton cloth is wrapped around the center sections of the frames, under the rawhide strips. The footstraps are made of braided strips of multi-colored print cloth.
